A new feature should soon be added to the messaging app.
The website WABetainfo spotted a new feature in the code of the latest version of the app on iOS. Facebook is preparing to introduce a new polling function on its messaging application. This would still be under development, but should soon be tested with a panel of users.
App users will soon be able to share polls in groups, to get feedback, vote or just have fun seeing differences in opinions. As the messaging is end-to-end encrypted, only group members will be able to view polls and results.
Traditionally, WhatsApp incorporates snippets of new features in development into the latest versions of its software. When the function is ready, he then tests it with a small panel of users. If the feedback is positive, the function is then deployed to all users, in successive waves. Don’t panic, so if you don’t have access to it right away, it could only be deployed in a few months.
