CETYS and San Diego State University invite to binational conference on public and mental health, RE: BORDER

To be held on November 16 and 17, with the participation of exponents from both sides of the border.

In order to create meeting and discussion points from a binational perspective, San Diego State University (SDSU), CETYS University, as well as other organizations and institutions in the region, will sponsor RE: BORDER, the third annual conference that this year explores the theme: “To Our Health: Facing Challenges and Solutions of Public Health and Mental Health in Our Cross-Border Region”, to be held on November 16 and 17, 2021 in hybrid mode .

Dr. Adela de la Torre, President of SDSU, commented that the conference seeks to explore key cross-border problems and action-oriented solutions, which will be developed in one of the most active economic regions in the world.

For his part, Dr. Scott Venezia, Director of International Relations of the CETYS University System, commented that the event will have the participation of teachers and directors of the Institution, beginning with the inaugural conference, which will have the participation of Dr. Fernando León García, Rector of CETYS, as well as Dr. Adelante de la Torre, President of SDSU.

RE: BORDER brings together professors, academics, researchers, public policy analysts, professionals, public officials, and industry leaders in a conversation that seeks transformation through research, education, and collaboration between the public and private sectors. The lectures will be given in both Spanish and English.

Among the topics under discussion are: public health, youth education, insertion in the world of work, support for teachers, mobility and migration in the pandemic, cross-border community and mental health, among others.
