BOBA Beverage Issuer IPO Shares Champion, LUCK-ARTO Suck!

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Newcomer issuer stocks boba drink producer, PT Formosa Ingredient Factory Tbk (BOBA) and gold mining company Bakrie Group PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS) became the top gainers in the first trading session on Monday (1/11/2021).

Meanwhile, stock issuer of distribution equipment and documentation services PT Sentral Mitra Informatika Tbk (LUCK) and issuer bank PT Bank Jago Tbk (ARTO) shares a place in the list of top losers stocks.

The Composite Stock Price Index (JCI) has been green since morning. JCI rose 0.13% to 6,599,887 at the close of the first trading session on Monday (1/11).

According to IDX data, 270 stocks rose, 224 stocks declined and 167 stocks remained stagnant, with a transaction value of Rp 6.0 trillion and a trading volume of 13.1 billion shares.

Foreign investors from the stock market entered Indonesia with a record foreign net purchase of Rp 120.67 billion in the regular market. Meanwhile, foreigners recorded a net sale in the negotiating market and cash market of Rp 24.83 billion.

BOBA shares led the top gainers by soaring to touch the upper auto rejection (ARA) limit of 25% to the level of Rp 350 per share on the first day on the stock exchange today.

BOBA released 140 million new shares with a nominal value of Rp 50 per share and an exercise price of Rp 280 per share, thus, the funds obtained from this IPO amounted to Rp 39.20 billion.

BOBA’s management said that the funds to be obtained from the proceeds of this public offering after deducting emission costs were used as working capital for the company.

This working capital is for the purchase of raw materials, supporting materials, operational costs and marketing costs to expand the marketing network by distribution to other areas as well as promotions carried out to other areas to support the company’s growth in the future.

Together with BOBA shares, BRMS shares rose 7.14% to Rp 105/share, continuing their 4.26% increase in trading last Friday. Within a week, BRMS shares shot up 10.53% and in a month rose 12.90%.

In contrast, LUCK’s shares fell to the lower auto rejection limit (ARB) of 6.90% to Rp 270/share.

Investors seem to start taking profit (profit taking) after LUCK shares rose for 3 days in a row. On Friday last week, LUCK shares shot up to ARA 25.00%.

Apart from LUCK, ARTO’s shares also fell 2.74% to Rp 15,075/share, after rising in the last 2 days. In a week, ARTO shares rose 1.01%, while in a month they were stagnant.
