They were joined by people from other industries affected by the measures. “We no longer have any patience, because they nailed the last nail in the coffin with this stupid order,” said Emil Kolarov, chairman of the Union of Bulgarians.

The industry stressed that they are against the way the certificate is applied. “First – to be comprehensive, not only for accommodation and catering, but for all indoor places,” said Atanas Dimitrov, Deputy Chairman of BHRA.

The protest in Sofia ended at 5 pm.

At 3 pm the road was blocked Pernik – Sofia at the traffic light near the village of Dragichevo.

Dissatisfied restaurateurs did not have permission to block the road, but only to protest in the center of the village.

The protesters said their industry was discriminated against and demanded that the green certificate be valid for everyone, including those working in state and municipal administrations.

In Plovdiv a key crossroads near Cifte Banya was closed. Employees and restaurant owners have issued a call for mass vaccination. According to them, this is the only way to prevent their business from going bankrupt.

They also want free tests in front of restaurants so that customers can enter undisturbed. They complained of a drastic drop in their turnover due to the new anti-epidemic requirements.

The dissatisfied marched through the city.

Hundreds people from Varna protested today against anti-epidemic measures. They gathered in front of the municipal building, then marched in protest on the city’s main streets. Among the protesters are business representatives and staff of restaurants in the city. Dissidents chanted “Down with the measures,” and music from Pink Floyd’s The Wall announced the protest.

V Haskovo the protesting business representatives, who are suffering losses from the introduction of the green certificate, demanded the resignation of the Minister of Health Stoycho Katsarov. The dissidents built a symbolic brick wall at the entrance of the district administration, which are representatives of the state, and threatened that this would not be the last protest.

Among the demands is to recognize antibody tests, following the example of Austria and Switzerland, as well as the green certificate to be valid for all – municipal and state administration.

A protest march passed through key streets in Targovishte. Representatives of various professional associations in the field of tourism and catering gathered in the center and marched in a peaceful procession to the junction, and the final exact was the building of the Regional Health Inspectorate in the regional city.

Several hundred restaurateurs and hoteliers in Stara Zagora they filled the square in front of the district administration and marched in protest. They raised slogans “We want a future in Bulgaria” and “We are all equal through the law.” According to them, the green certificates were introduced without an information campaign and the restaurants in the region work at 5 percent capacity, which is deadly for business.

The Ministry of Health told bTV that at the moment there is no change in the national regulations regarding the possibilities for issuing a green certificate for the presence of antibodies.
