On Sunday, the eyes of football Poland will be on Warsaw. In the hit of the 11th round of PKO BP Ekstraklasa, Legia will play against Lech Poznań. The match, which is prestigious for both teams, will attract scouts from all over Europe to the stands. There will also be no shortage of these this time. One of them will fly to the Polish capital especially for Jakub Kamiński.
According to information from Interia, on Sunday, the scout of Atalanta Bergamo will sit in the stands at Łazienkowska Street, who will go to Warsaw especially to watch Kamiński. The same scout watched the 19-year-old winger on October 2, in a different match for Lech, when the Poznań players defeated Śląsk Wrocław 4-0 in an extremely important game. Then Kamiński not only played sensational, but also scored two goals and noted an assist.
Atalanta’s interest is not accidental. Italians tried to get Kamiński in August 2020. Then, however, Lech rejected the EUR 5 million proposal. The offer was also not interested in a footballer who wanted to pass his high school diploma before leaving Ekstraklasa.
– Today the situation is quite different. Lech understands that Kuba is slowly getting ready to leave. This makes more and more interested clubs around him. One of them is Atalanta, which will probably submit a new offer in winter, a person from Kamiński’s entourage tells Interia.
The talented winger could also leave Ekstraklasa this summer, but Kolejorz did not agree to accept another offer: this time VfL Wolfsburg offered 7 million euros.
So is it up to three times art? In an interview with Interia, the owner of Lech Piotr Rutkowski admitted that the time is approaching when Kamiński will have to look for new challenges. There are many indications that if a player does not find a club in winter, he will almost certainly do it in summer.
The numbers that he records in the current league season speak for the young footballer from Ruda Śląska. He has scored four goals and four assists in ten games so far. A few weeks ago, the 19-year-old also made his debut in the Polish senior national team.
