At around 8 a.m. this Thursday, September 9, 2021, an accident between a school bus and a car killed three people. Slightly injured, the 11-year-old girl, the 14-year-old boy and the 41-year-old driver were transported to the Ancenis hospital in Loire-Atlantique by the firefighters.
The accident took place on the D253 between Saint-Sauveur-de-Landemont and Drain, two delegated municipalities ofOrée-d’Anjou in Maine-et-Loire. The school bus was carrying 57 schoolchildren and a female driver, it was heading towards the Georges-Pompidou public college in Champtoceaux.
Another school bus came to transport the children to college. The firefighters, the gendarmerie, the Samu, and an elected official were on site.
