The Diputación de Sevilla will proceed to deliver this Sunday the list of honors and distinctions promoted by the institution for the Day of the Province for the year 2021, which includes the title of Favorite Son posthumously for Manuel del Valle, president of the entity between 1979 and 1983 and mayor of the Seville city between 1983 and 1991.
The institutional act, chaired by the head of the Seville Provincial Council, Fernando Rodríguez Villalobos, will take place at the Seville Provincial Council this Sunday, starting at 8.30 pm. In addition, it can also be followed in streaming from the Diputación website (‘www.dipusevilla.es‘).
The list of recognized personalities was approved last Tuesday unanimously in an extraordinary and telematic plenary session. Along with Del Valle, who died on March 26 after a long illness, the businessman José Moya Sanabria has been recognized with the Gold Medal, posthumously. Owner with his wife of the Persán group, Moya passed away in mid-January.
There are also gold medals for Manuel Sánchez Váquez, Manu Sánchez, comedian, actor and presenter; Vicente Amigo, musician, guitarist and composer; Jaime Rodríguez Sacristán, a doctor specialized in child psychiatry who is recognized for his professional career; the actor Antonio Pérez Dechent and the health and essential services personnel, receiving the award Juan José Peña, a resident of Lebrija who was in the ICU for 58 days.
The plaques of honor correspond to the Rusvel Group, of the Heliopol company, dedicated to construction and civil works; the College of Secretaries, Controllers and Treasurers of the Local Administration; the Santiago el Mayor Social Dining Room in Utrera and Aspanri-down.
In addition, the list of honors includes a plaque of honor for the firefighters of the province of Seville, which will be collected by Juan Manuel Huertes Sánchez on their behalf.
