As for the young man’s family, questioned by West France , she “Questions arise around the vaccine”. “It’s inevitable, his brother testified. Because my brother, beyond being someone brilliant, took care of him. He was careful what he ate, he played sports. Above all, he had no medical history, no illness, nothing. The National Medicines Safety Agency (ANSM), responsible for monitoring vaccines against Covid-19, said that “The case is under clinical investigation”. “We have been informed of a case of death of a 24-year-old [24 ans selon l’ANSM et 26 ans selon le parquet NDLR] several days after vaccination with the AstraZeneca vaccine. At this stage, there is no evidence to support the role of the vaccine. This case of death is the subject of an in-depth clinical investigation by the regional pharmacovigilance centers (CRPV).“, also have specified the ANSM on its website.

During its last report, the ANSM has reported 4184 cases of adverse effects since the start of vaccination with AstraZeneca. The agency has, moreover, noted “13 cases of thromboembolic events (for more than 1,041,000 injections)”. In its report on March 18, after the suspension of the vaccine by fifteen European countries, the European Medicines Agency, concluded that the vaccine was not associated with an increased overall risk of blood clots. The use of AstraZeneca has therefore been able to resume in many European countries even if it is now authorized, in France, for people over 55 years old only.
