The cultural festival Ueral Festival on Terschelling can continue despite the corona crisis, although this will be done in an adapted form. The organization announced this on Monday. The event will take place from 11 to 20 June this year.
Visitor capacity will be limited to prevent the spread of the corona virus. A maximum of fifty visitors may be present at all program components at the same time and the 1.5 meters between households will be guaranteed.
“In recent months, we have looked very carefully and consulted with the municipality of Terschelling and the province of Friesland to see what is possible”, says festival director Siart Smit. “We are happy and proud that we have placed many assignments for a broad program.”
“There is a real need to be able to physically enjoy art again. This will be an Oerol where you can also bring your bath towel. During Oerol Festival 2021 you will have time to discover the natural beauty of the island and the summer. “
During this edition of the Oerol Festival there will be no large festival grounds, but three smaller ‘hubs’ that are spread over the island. There will be theater pieces, art and talk shows.
