SPD member of the state parliament Gabi Rolland supports the proposal of the Freiburg city administration to suspend childcare fees in daycare centers, day care and school childcare again for January. The local council will decide on this at its meeting on February 2nd. “Since regular operations in the facilities are suspended for the entire month, it is right to collect parental contributions only for children who are currently in emergency care,” said Rolland.

The SPD politician sees the state of Baden-Wuerttemberg as having an obligation: “The cities and municipalities as well as the independent agencies that act responsibly must not be left with these costs. I expect the state government to offset these expenses with immediate aid. “
