In London (United Kingdom), a compact crowd formed in the middle of the street, without a mask and without distancing, in a country where Covid-19 has killed more than 60,000 people. In another register, more tender, the photograph of a kiss given by a woman disguised as Mrs. Claus to a little girl in Brazil melted hearts.
In Turkey, an artist published an engaged snapshot of her, installed in a bed in the middle of an Istanbul street. A snub to men who attack women when they wear shorts. The same week, photographs of the eruption of Piton de la Fournaise, on Reunion Island, give chills. Across the Atlantic, a humpback whale appears in front of the Statue of Liberty in New York; a sign that the city’s waters have been properly decontaminated and that they are once again welcoming.
