Asus releases 880 gram ExpertBook with Tiger Lake processor – Computer – News

Asus has released the ExpertBook B9400. The 14-inch laptop weighs 880 grams and is primarily intended for business users. The device runs on a Tiger Lake i7 processor and has a full HD display.

The ExpertBook has a full HD LCD with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels and a ratio of 16: 9. The IPS panel can display one hundred percent of the sRGB color space and the 14-inch display takes up 94 percent of the body, according to Asus. The laptop’s touchpad can also be used as a numpad.

The laptop has a Tiger Lake processor from Intel. That’s an i7-1165G7 with 2.8GHz and 12MB cache. The laptop uses an integrated Iris Xe GPU and has 16GB of lpddr4x memory on board. There is an m2 NVMe SSD with 1TB of storage space in the laptop and there is an extra m2 2280 PCIe 3.0 slot available for expansion.

The laptop has a HD webcam with a physical shutter and there is support for WiFi-6 802.11ax and Bluetooth 5.0 dual band. In terms of connections, the laptop uses an HDMI 2.0 port and three USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, one of which is a type A and two a USB-C port. One of them is also used for the power connection. There is a 66Wh battery in the laptop.

Asus says the ExpertBook is primarily aimed at business users. This is reflected in the fact that the webcam supports Windows Hello and has a Kensington Lock. The laptop also has a physical Trusted Platform Module 2.0 integrated for disk encryption via Bitlocker.

The ExpertBook weighs 880 grams and measures 32×20.3×0.9 centimeters. The device is for sale in the Netherlands for 2199 euros.
