86th World Hockey Championship Quarterfinals Statistics and Player Rankings

Of the Slovaks, who no longer continue in the championship, the most productive captain was Marek Hrivík – he ranks 25th with six points (2+4). Goalkeeper Stanislav Škorvánek is at the head of the goalkeeper rating with a 95.37 percent save success rate.

Kubalík, who will not add any more points in the tournament, as the Czech Republic was not enough against the USA in the quarter-finals (0:3), is one point ahead of the American forward TJ Tynan (USA) (1+10). This is followed by four ten-pointers, headed by the German JJ Peterka, who contributed a goal to Germany’s surprising advance to the semi-finals at the expense of the favored Swiss (3:1).

At the same time, Kubalík is the best scorer of the tournament so far with eight accurate hits. In the quarterfinals, the nineteen-year-old American Cutter Gauthier, who won the quarterfinals against the Czech Republic for the seventh time, managed a goal difference (3:0). From the Slovak team, Richard Pánik was the only one to score three goals, which is enough for 16th place. The Swedish Henrik Tömmernes and the American Tynan (10) collected the most assists.

After the quarter-final duels, Škorvánek is at the head of the goalkeeper rating, in the four games he has caught, he had a success rate of 95.37 percent. He also recorded one clean sheet against Slovenia. Together with Samuel Hlavaj (93.20), the Slovakian duo ranks fourth in team goalkeeping success behind the USA, Sweden and Canada – they blocked 199 of 214 shots, which means a success rate of 92.99 percent.
