North Korea held the Supreme People’s Assembly, which is our national assembly, and replaced many of the Vice Prime Ministers.
It is interpreted as a measure to renew the atmosphere by focusing on overcoming the economic crisis, but Chairman Kim Jong-un did not attend this meeting.

The Supreme People’s Assembly, convened five days after the 8th Party Congress, focused solely on the economy.
First, the cabinet that Chairman Kim Jong-un has designated as the “Economic Command Tower” has changed dramatically.
Prime Minister Kim Deok-hoon remains the same, but six out of eight deputy prime ministers have been replaced. In particular, the head of the National Planning Committee, which oversees the planning and establishment of economic policies, and supervision, has also changed from Kim Il-cheol to Park Jeong-geun.

Internal criticism also followed.
Prime Minister Kim Deok-hoon said that the last five-year strategy for economic development was drawn up by subjective desire without having to specifically calculate the reality and feasibility of execution, and that he was not good at operations and command.
He pointed out that he has not overcome defeatism, glances, and tricks.

This is the first year of the five-year national economic development plan, and this year’s budget has not increased significantly.
Budget income increased by only 0.9% from last year, while investment in economic construction increased by only 0.6%.
Compared to the 5-6% annual increase in the last 3 years, it has decreased significantly.

There was no resurrection of the presidential system and the reorganization of the State Council, which had attracted attention.
