All eight executives of Shincheonji Daegu Church who were tried for obstruction of quarantine were found not guilty.
Concerns were raised that the successive innocences following Chairman Man-hee Lee last month could give false signals to those who refuse to investigate epidemiological investigations.

Eight executives from Shincheonji Daegu Church are handed over to trial for interfering with epidemiological investigations.
The court convicted all eight people, including the tribe leader, Choi Mo.
The prosecution’s charges against them are two types of charges: violation of the Infectious Disease Prevention Act and hierarchical hindrance to the execution of public affairs.
The court judged that submitting a list of all members of the congregation was not considered a violation of the infectious disease prevention method as a preliminary stage for an epidemiological investigation.
In addition, the quarantine authority’s request to submit a list was deemed to be a request for information, so it was difficult to regard it as a hindrance to the execution of public affairs just because it did not respond.
On February 20, last year, when Corona 19 was spreading, the city of Daegu asked Shincheonji Daegu Church to submit the entire list of members.
As a result, Choi and others were charged with dropping and submitting the list of over 130 members who are reluctant to disclose their identities.
Choi and others, who were found not guilty in a trial that lasted more than half a year, left the court without saying anything.

Earlier, on the 13th of last month, the Suwon District Court also acquitted General Chairman Lee Man-hee, Shincheonji, who was accused of interfering with quarantine activities.
Daegu City, who accused Shincheonji Daegu Church, emphasized that if a group infection occurs, promptly submitting a list will determine the success or failure of quarantine.
At the same time, he feared that successive innocences regarding Shincheonji could interfere with quarantine and give false signals to those who refuse to be tested.
Among netizens, the response that this acquittal was difficult to convince was the main reaction, considering the enormous damage suffered by ordinary citizens and self-employed people during the first pandemic caused by Shincheonji.
