Highly pathogenic avian influenza and AI confirmed farmers are continuing throughout the country, including Cheonan, Chungcheongnam-do.
It is estimated that more than 10 million poultry, including chickens and ducks, were disposed of in an emergency to prevent further spread.

Inside the farm where chickens are raised, people in white hazmat suits are busy.
Large trucks are also waiting at the farm entrance.
The reason why the emergency disposal work started on this farm was because a nearby duck farm was diagnosed with highly pathogenic AI.
Emergency disposal targets over 590,000 chickens and quails raised within 3km of the farm where highly pathogenic AI occurred.
The quarantine authorities have restricted movement to all poultry farms in the Cheonan area for a week and initiated emergency inspections.

Farms with highly pathogenic AI were previously identified in Hwaseong-si, Gyeonggi-do, Namwon-si, Jeollabuk-do, and Gurye-gun, Jeollanam-do.
Following migratory bird feces, confirmed cases were carried out on farms all over the country, resulting in an emergency disposal of 10 million chickens and ducks.
Reports of suspicion have not ceased, showing no signs of calming down.
In addition to a laying hen farm in Gyeongju, Gyeongsangbuk-do, a meat seed chicken farm in Pungse-myeon, Cheonan-si, reported an increase in mortality, and a detailed investigation is underway.
The quarantine authorities urged farmers to sprinkle enough quicklime around the barn and make sure to change their boots to prevent the influx of viruses from outside.
