Knee-deep snowstorms have forced the villagers to abandon their snow-clearing efforts.
A 40cm snow bomb fell on “Maldo” in Gunsan, North Jeolla Province.

More than 20cm of snow was recorded mainly in west coast areas such as Hampyeong and Muan in South Jeolla Province and Gochang and Gunsan in North Jeolla Province.
The island area was isolated as strong winds and high waves disrupted the shipping lane.
Roads also turned to ice and vehicles skidded, resulting in a series of contact accidents.
