There was a reason for the endless repetition of secondhand sales scams.

11 Bank Accounts Used In Hundreds Of Second Hand Fraud Offenses.
The scammers even sent account holder IDs to reassure victims.
Victims suspect that the account holder may also be an accomplice to the crime.
The reporters went directly to the owner of the account.
He said he did not know his account had been used for a crime and only found out after being contacted by the bank and the police.
[A 씨 /사기 이용 계좌 주인 : 기업은행에서 전화를 받아서 무슨 문제가 생겼다는 거는 한 3주 전에 인식했고요. 그때까지는 사실 무슨 일인지 잘 모르고 워낙 안 쓰는 통장이라서 이해를 못 하고 있다가 그다음에 경찰서에서 전화가 와서 사건을 인식한 상태고.]
Another account owner also denied any criminal links.
[B 씨 /사기 이용 계좌 주인 : 저도 경찰서 가서 조사받고 다 했는데, 증거자료도 다 주고 카톡 내용 이런 것도 다 보내줬거든요. 제가 따로 어떻게 돈 받고 그런 건 없습니다.]
They claim to be victims, but can be punished if they transfer their accounts knowing they are being used for a crime.
Situations where police investigations are needed to track accounts and determine where and when the proceeds of crime went.
However, the police are still taking the case.
More than a month has passed since the first complaint was filed and, in the meantime, the number of victims has risen from tens to hundreds.
The number of cases transferred to Gangneung Police Station alone in Gangwon far exceeds 100.
The Gangneung Police Station decided that an investigator was unable to deal with it and finally transferred the case to the Gangwon Higher Level Police Agency.
[강원 강릉경찰서 관계자 : 한꺼번에 막말로, 150건 200건이 왔으면 거기 붙어서 (수사)하는데, 이게 몇 건씩, 전국에서 오는 거니까 그런 어려움은 있어요. 그래서 이제 100건이 넘어가고 하니까 도경(강원경찰청)에서 (수사하기로 했습니다.)]
Victims express frustration, saying the case they reported has only been transferred for more than a month.
