Louis Vuitton told the story behind the clothing work on the 14th and explained: “The tweed pattern with a three-dimensional sense of depth is embroidered with pastel-colored Lagro and sequins on a background of black sequins.”

The embroidery that sparkles with Jeong Ho-yeon’s movement reminded me of the mother of pearl of a gold shell, a unique Korean craftsmanship.

It is said that it took 110 hours to create the dress Louis Vuitton designed for Jeong Ho-yeon.

Notably, it was completed after 600 hours of meticulous work, including placing 20,000 sequins and embroidering an additional 490 hours.

The toupee, reminiscent of the traditional Korean accessory ‘Chupji’, is said to be inspired by the golden petals of chrysanthemums.

The hairpiece is made with sequins, crystals and mother of pearl for a dazzling shine.

The toupee making process was done in collaboration with various industries such as design, jewelry and plating and took over 30 hours to complete.

Previously, Jung Ho-yeon received attention for styling inspired by traditional Korean clothing at the March SAG Awards.

At that time, Jeong Ho-yeon appeared in a black dress with a colorful pattern reminiscent of mother of pearl and with braided hair.

Louis Vuitton designer Nicolas Ghesquière is said to have specially created it with the same fabric as the dress.
