(Seoul = Yonhap News) Korean history star lecturer Seol Min-seok, 50, announced that he would eventually apologize and get out of all programs appearing when suspicion of plagiarism of his master’s thesis came out following controversy over history distortion.
On the 29th, Seol apologized to his SNS on the 29th, saying, “I admit that I neglected to write citations and footnotes in the process of neglecting research and referencing other papers.”
Earlier, the entertainment media Dispatch reported that the content of Seol’s master’s thesis,’A Study on Ideology Controversy in the Description of Korean Modern and Contemporary History Textbooks’ (2010) is more than 50% the same as the thesis written by Sogang University Graduate School of Education in 2008.
When Seol got off the program, the broadcaster was hit directly.
TVN’s’Seol Min-suk’s Naked World History’ Cleopatra has been the center of the controversy over history distortion, and the abolition of the program is weighing on as Seol gets off.
MBC’s’Guys Crossing the Line’ is also difficult because it is impossible without Seol.
