‘Heo Dak’ suspicion of embezzlement of 2.7 billion won
According to the legal community on the 17th, Section 27 of the Seoul Central District Court’s Criminal Agreement (President Judge Kim Sun-il) was sentenced to 3 years and 6 months in prison and fined Yang-mo, 41, who was charged with embezzlement, counterfeiting and exercising securities under the Aggravated Punishment Act for certain economic crimes. It was sentenced to 10 million won.
The court said, “The amount of embezzlement exceeded 2.7 billion won, and the amount of damage remaining is quite large as a result of the crime committed by mixing the accounts of the victim company and the accounts of the companies that it operated without dividing it. He pointed out that he did not repay at all until the end of nine years,” he pointed out and condemned the charges against Yang.
Yang worked as an auditor at the food distribution company Heo Dak, run by Heo Gyeong-hwan from 2010 to 2014. It is known that he was a partner of Heo Gyeong-hwan, managing the company, keeping the corporate bankbook and seal stamp, and Heo Gyeong-hwan’s seal stamp, and in charge of managing funds.
The company funds he stole amounted to a total of 2.73 billion won. It turns out that he often withdrew company funds whenever he needed money for a separate company he was running. Only the number of confirmed account transfers reached 600 times. In addition, Yang signed and stamped a liquor supply contract in the name of Heo Gyeong-hwan, and issued and used a promissory note.
In March 2012, Yang cheated on Gyeong-hwan Heo, saying, “There is a problem with the company that was operated separately, and thus, we are not paying taxes,” and there is a charge of not returning it after receiving 100 million won. Yang used this for apartment sales, entertainment expenses, and debt repayment.
