This year, 31 public enterprises are hiring more than 5,000 new employees. More than half of them start hiring during the first half of the year.
According to data on the ‘2021 Public Institution Recruitment Information Fair’ of the Ministry of Strategy and Finance on the 24th, the number of employees expected to be hired this year at 31 public companies participating in this fair was totaled 5,141 as of the day. The number of actual hiring personnel is increasing even further, as five companies, including Korea Racing Authority, Korea National Oil Corporation, Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH), Korea Expressway Corporation, and Korea Midland Power, have not yet confirmed the number of employees, including regular and indefinite contract workers.
In the case of Incheon International Airport Corporation, which is highly favored by test takers, a total of 60 new employees are recruited, including 40 full-time workers, 17 non-term contract workers, and 3 high school graduates. The Housing and Urban Guarantee Corporation (HUG) employs 36 full-time new employees (managers). Korea Railroad Corporation (KORAIL) has the highest number of recruits, with 1,400 new recruits, including 1230 regular workers and 170 high school graduates. In addition, KEPCO employs 1,100 people, Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power has 432 people, and Korea Water Resources Corporation employs 300 people.
Of the 31 public enterprises, more than half of 18 will start hiring in the first half. Among them, the Korea Marine Environment Corporation closed the application form on the 19th and is currently undergoing document screening. Korea Gas Corporation and KORAIL will start recruiting applications in February, and KEPCO in March.
