Actor Yoo Ah-in, who is suspected of using drugs, was reported to have tested positive for propofol, a psychoactive drug, in his hair.
The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency’s Drug Crime Investigation Unit announced today (23rd) that it received the results of a detailed hair analysis from the National Institute of Scientific Investigation last week.
Previously, the police collected urine and hair immediately after Yoo returned from the United States on the 5th and requested an evaluation to the National Forensic Service, and was informed that the urine tested positive for hemp.
The police launched an investigation according to the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety’s findings that Yoo was prescribed propofol, a general anesthetic called “milk injection,” for non-medical purposes.
The police plan to summon Yoo, who is suspected of violating the Drug Control Act, to investigate the drug administration in the near future.
