[사회]Vaccine supply in Europe… is there any disruption in domestic introduction?

Europe disrupts supply of Pfizer-AstraZeneca vaccines
European countries announce a lawsuit against vaccine manufacturers… Signs of a vaccine disruption
“There is no problem with the domestic vaccine supply plan”

As the supply of Corona 19 vaccines in Europe is disrupted, there are signs of a vaccine crisis, such as governments of various countries foretelling lawsuits against manufacturers.

Contrary to this European situation, the Korean government has announced that it will not be disrupted because it plans to first receive domestically produced vaccines.

In recent years, the supply of AstraZeneca vaccine has been significantly delayed in Europe following Pfizer.

In particular, AstraZeneca decided to supply 80 million doses of vaccine to 27 countries in Europe by the first quarter of this year, but 60% of the vaccine is expected to be difficult to supply.

A major fire broke out in a production facility in India, and the vaccine was adjusted for mutant viruses originating in the UK and South Africa, disrupting the supply.

For this reason, European countries that were unable to secure vaccine quantities have announced a lawsuit against manufacturers.

There is also a situation of concern even for a vaccine crisis.

However, the Korean government said there was no problem with the domestic vaccine supply and demand plan.

Currently, in Korea, SK Bioscience is consigning vaccines for AstraZeneca and NovaVax, and it is explained that there will be no setbacks as it will receive this supply.

On the 28th, the government will announce the implementation plan for the corona19 vaccination, including the current status of the vaccine introduction, priority targets, and preparations.

Currently, the government has secured 56 million vaccines, including AstraZeneca, and has a contract with NovaVax to introduce an additional 20 million vaccines.

The first vaccine that comes in next month is Pfizer’s 50,000 vaccine, and it is expected that medical staff and elderly people in nursing homes will receive the vaccine first.

The government plans to form collective immunity before this winter by vaccinating 70% of the population by November.
