Korea’s first air ambulance transported a Korean citizen who collapsed overseas for the first time to Korea.
Meanwhile, to bring the critically ill from overseas to Korea, we had no choice but to use a foreign air ambulance, but now we can use our own plane.

Besides the pilots, doctors, nurses and paramedics are all Korean.
This is the first time that our medical team has transported a patient from our country on our plane.
The air ambulance became widely known in 2011.
It was the air ambulance that transported Captain Seok Hae-kyun to Korea, shot dead during the rescue operation of the Samho jewelry store hijacked by Somali pirates.
At that time I was using a Swiss plane and the cost of transportation was $400,000. At the exchange rate at the time, it was over 440 million won.

There are currently 155 air ambulances in operation worldwide, including 22 in Asia, including Korea.
Domestic air ambulance operators prepare travel insurance related products to reduce the burden of expensive transportation costs.
We are negotiating with the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport for the registration of air ambulances for which there is no legislation on the matter.
