The environmental impact assessment is carried out in such a way that a business operator evaluates the environmental impact of a project and submits an evaluation report to the environmental authority, and the environmental authority expresses its opinion.
If the environmental authority ‘agrees’ or ‘conditionally agrees’ to the evaluation, the project can be promoted.
The Osaek Cable Car installation project is a project to install a 3.5km cable car from the Osaek district of Seoraksan National Park in Yangyang-gun, Gangwon-do, to the end of Daecheongbong at the top of Seoraksan Mountain.
