Former Environment Minister Kim Eun-gyeong and Shin Mi-sook, former Blue House secretary, were convicted at the first trial, accused of the so-called’blacklist of the Ministry of Environment’.
In particular, former Minister Kim was sentenced to imprisonment and imprisoned in court, which is the first case as a member of the Moon Jae-in government.

The so-called’Ministry of Environment blacklist’ controversy began in earnest with the exposure of former Blue House Special Inspectorate Kim Tae-woo.
It was suspicious that the Moon Jae-in administration, the Blue House, and the Ministry of Environment, had written a document that contained the resignation trend of executives under the Ministry of Environment appointed during the former government.
In the following prosecution investigation, the Ministry of Environment forced 15 executives under the agency to resign to resign 13, and in the process, a target audit was conducted.
Former Environment Minister Kim Eun-gyeong and Shin Mi-sook, former Blue House Balance Personnel Secretary, were handed over to trial on charges of taking the lead.

At a sentence of over one year and nine months, the court convicted a large part of the charges against the two.
First of all, former Minister Kim ruled that it was admitted that if they refused, they forced the executives appointed during the Park Geun-hye administration to resign in order to seat the nominees recommended by the Blue House as executives.
In addition, when the nominee was eliminated from the document screening, he urged seven other successful candidates to be disqualified, compromising the fairness and objectivity of hiring executives, and accusing the public of distrust.
Nevertheless, former Minister Kim continued to deny the charges, sentenced him to two years and six months in prison, and was immediately detained in court.
The court judged it as guilty, saying that former secretary Shin, who was also prosecuted, also played a role in coercing his resignation.
However, rather than leading the case, he was sentenced to 1 year and 6 months imprisonment and 3 years probation, saying that it was judged to be the level of carrying out the personnel policy of the Blue House and the Ministry of Environment.

This is the first case in which a minister appointed by the Moon Jae-in government was sentenced to jail and arrested in court.
