The goal is to achieve collective immunity by the third quarter by starting vaccinations in high-risk groups, such as workers in medical institutions, around February-March next year.

The government is setting up a plan so that vaccines can be vaccinated as soon as they become available from February to March next year.
First, we plan to expand vaccinations starting with workers at high-risk medical institutions, then the elderly living in group facilities such as nursing homes, the elderly over 65 years old, and those with high-risk chronic diseases.

Currently, the vaccine contracted by the government is an amount capable of hitting 26 million people, including 10 million AstraZeneca and Pfizer, and 6 million Janssen.
Discussions are underway for the first quarter supply of 10 million people who have decided to purchase through Cobax Facility.
Therefore, the government’s goal is to achieve collective immunity by applying vaccines to the majority of the people within the third quarter, as it becomes possible to secure a significant amount of vaccines in the second to third quarters.
However, some uncertainty remains.

Vaccines such as Pfizer that require cryogenic distribution at -60 to 90 degrees Celsius are equipped with a freezer to operate a separate vaccination center, and vaccines that can be stored refrigerated at 2 to 8 degrees Celsius are entrusted to other medical institutions for vaccination.
In addition, if an adverse reaction occurs after vaccination, the national compensation system will be applied to damages with confirmed causality.
The government plans to finalize and announce a detailed plan for vaccination in January next year.
