As of 0 o’clock today, the number of new corona19 patients was counted as 7,561.
It decreased by 3,000 from a week ago and 4,000 from 2 weeks ago.
As of Thursday, it was the lowest in 36 weeks since June 23 last year.
The number of severely ill patients was 129, maintaining the 100 level for 11 consecutive days.
There were 15 deaths, bringing the cumulative death toll to 34,003.
Amid the trend of declining epidemics, quarantine measures at schools in the new semester have been significantly eased.
Indoor masks have been alleviated to ‘autonomous wearing’, and the obligation to check fever and install partitions in lunchrooms, which were carried out every school day, has been abolished.
The Ministry of Education explained that autonomous wearing means that school rules return to the pre-COVID-19 state, meaning that they are not legally involved.
However, wearing a mask remains compulsory when using school vehicles.
In addition, if there is a concern about infection, the principal may recommend wearing a mask at the discretion of the school principal.
The operation of temperature checks and the installation of partitions in lunchrooms can also be done depending on the circumstances of each school.
The Ministry of Education announced that it would operate a special quarantine support period for up to two weeks after school reopens, taking into account the fact that parents are concerned about classes without masks.
