The congestion on the highway on the way home is gradually getting better?

As the afternoon enters, the congestion on the highway is gradually clearing up.
As of 3:30 p.m., the total downbound congestion section is 84km.
Compared to two hours ago, it was reduced by nearly 100km.
Compared to last year’s first day of the Lunar New Year holidays, when the congestion section was 233 km, the time to clear the congestion has been greatly accelerated.
It is expected that the congestion on the way home will be resolved around 4 PM.
On the first day of last year’s Lunar New Year holiday, the congestion cleared up at 9 p.m.
This seems to be the effect of the quarantine authorities urging them to refrain from visiting their hometown by emphasizing the rules of distance.
The estimated time to travel over long distances is also decreasing.
As of now, it will take 4 and a half hours to Busan, 3 hours and 20 minutes to Gwangju, 2 hours and 40 minutes to Gangneung, and 1 hour and 40 minutes to Daejeon from Seoul.

This Anseong Rest Area, where I am in, is also restricted from eating indoors.
Looking inside, all restaurants are closed and outdoor tables are difficult to use.
This is a measure in accordance with the’special quarantine measures’ implemented by the quarantine authorities during the Lunar New Year holidays, but it is possible to take food in a package instead.
Currently, customers mainly use external stores that sell convenience foods such as Havana potatoes and Jupo.
The Korea Expressway Corporation has added personnel in various areas of the rest area, and employees holding pickets with the phrase ‘2m distance’ provide guidance from time to time.
In addition, the use of rest area congestion information systems and congestion information road signs are used throughout the road to induce the use of rest facilities.
Unlike other holidays, highway tolls are also charged from today to the 13th.
