The Arctic cold wave reached its peak this morning.
Many areas, including Seoul, have been the coldest this winter.
Even today the temperature in Seoul is minus 13.3 degrees Celsius and the felt temperature is around minus 21 degrees.
Daejeon and Daegu also keep around minus 15 degrees Celsius.
The heavy rain will continue even in the middle of the day.
As a result, a cold wave warning is in effect in most of the central region, Jeonbuk and Gyeongbuk.
Also, heavy snow alerts are added in Chungnam, Honam and Jeju.

There is a lot of snow accumulated on the road that is not blown away, but collected with a forklein.
Vehicles also move at low speeds like turtles.
Therefore, Honam and Jeju Island have already accumulated a lot of snow of 50 to 70cm.
In the future, up to 20 to 30 cm or more of snow is expected in these areas and 5 to 15 cm of snow on the west coast of South Chungnam and eastern Honam.
Most of the snow will be gone by tomorrow morning.
Heavy rains are expected to continue over the Christmas holidays.
