Yes, it wasn’t too cold until this morning, exceeding the usual temperature.
Now, with a strong arctic chill, the weather has become very cold.
Currently, Seoul’s temperature is below -4.1 degrees, and the perceived temperature has dropped close to -10 degrees below zero.
By the time you go home, the cold will be stronger than it is now.
Tomorrow, the temperature in the morning of Seoul will plummet to -11 degrees Celsius, and the second cold wave is expected to rise.
Please wear warm clothes in case of extreme cold.
In the north, a strong cold fell south, and a cold wave warning was issued in Gangwon and northeastern Gyeonggi, Chungcheong and northern Gyeongbuk.
Other cold weather warnings are in effect in central, Gyeongbuk, and inland Jeonbuk.
Tomorrow morning, the temperature of Daegwallyeong -20 degrees, Paju -18 degrees, and Seoul -11 degrees will freeze.
Even during the day, the cold wind blows strongly, and the sub-zero cold you experience will continue throughout the day.
The daytime temperature is 2 degrees below zero in Seoul and Daejeon, 1 degree in Gwangju, and 3 degrees in Busan.
The momentum of the cold will grow stronger.
In the second half of the week, the strongest cold wave this winter, reaching minus 20 degrees, will come.
The midday temperature will be around 10 degrees below zero, and the whole country will freeze.
Amid the strong cold, it will start snowing from the dawn of tomorrow on the west coast and the mountains of Jeju, and heavy snowfall of up to 20 cm or more will pour out the day after tomorrow.
It is expected that a lot of snow, ranging from 5cm to 10cm, will fall and accumulate in the inland including the metropolitan area overnight.
You should prepare well for heavy snowfall along with the cold wave.
The cold wave is expected to hit its peak by this Friday.
