The Ministry of SMEs and Startups has embarked on a long journey to spread the ‘delivery price indexation system’ that reflects changes in the price of raw materials in the unit price of delivery.
However, representative organizations of large and medium-sized companies are protesting all at once.

Companies suffering from raw material prices fluctuated by the war in Ukraine came together.
A ‘road show’ was held to share and disseminate the experience of pilot operation of the ‘delivery payment interlocking system’ that reflects changes in the delivery price of small and medium-sized businesses.
The Ministry of SMEs and Startups has embarked on a long journey of holding such a road show to publicize the implementation of the law scheduled for October 4th and to induce participation.
We plan to hold more than 30 events across the country in the future.
When the law goes into effect, it is mandatory to include matters related to linkage of delivery costs in the contract for all contract and consignment transactions involving raw materials that account for more than 10% of the delivery costs.
Seven companies, including Samsung Electronics, Hyundai Motor Company, POSCO, LG Electronics, Hyundai Doosan Infracore, KT, and Daesang, attended the event on behalf of large corporations.
However, representatives of the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Federation of Korean Industries, the Korea Employers Federation, the Korea Federation of Mid-sized Enterprises, and the Korea International Trade Association did not attend.
These organizations, led by large and medium-sized companies, have opposed the legislation of the delivery payment linkage system and insisted on autonomous promotion through pilot projects.
Minister Lee Young expressed regret at the groups’ non-cooperation.

The Ministry of SMEs and Startups plans to attract the participation of 6,000 companies by providing various incentives to participating companies, such as a KRW 1 trillion interest rate reduction loan.
Attention is focusing on whether the delivery payment linkage system, which was launched with difficulty, will be able to narrow the differences between large companies and small and medium-sized enterprises and provide an opportunity for coexistence.
