An average of wind force 9 was measured in Vlissingen and IJmuiden during the night from Tuesday to Wednesday. This officially marks the third storm of the year. Code yellow applies in a large part of the Netherlands due to heavy gusts of wind.
The storm has been named Jocelyn by the Irish weather service. Earlier this week, storm Isha hit the country. On January 2, the Netherlands had to deal with storm Henk.

A wind gust of 97 kilometers per hour was measured at Schiphol. There is also a chance of very heavy gusts of wind in the Wadden area, the KNMI reports.
Due to the heavy gusts of wind, code yellow was in effect throughout the country on Wednesday morning. In North Brabant and Limburg it was over at 7 a.m. Zeeland, Gelderland and Utrecht followed later.
The coastal provinces in the north and west will experience gusts of wind until the afternoon. The same applies to Flevoland and Overijssel.
Little inconvenience on rail and road due to storms
Storm Jocelyn hardly causes any problems on the road and rail. The NS was experiencing disruptions on Wednesday morning, but according to an NS spokesperson, these were not caused by the weather.
The ANWB speaks of a fairly common morning rush hour. The wind only hinders traffic slightly, a spokesperson said.
