Feyenoord still wants to take over Ramiz Zerrouki from FC Twente. Last winter, the transfer was canceled after which Mats Wieffer suddenly experienced a stormy development with the team from Rotterdam. He is now even international. Yet Feyenoord still wants to hook the Algerian international to De Kuip, as Leon ten Voorde knows.
“It seems that Feyenoord has reported for Zerrouki again, so the soap is about to start again. That’s hot news. I’m giving away some news here,” he says during a special edition of the podcast De Ballen Verstand on the Tubantia.
Last summer, Feyenoord made an offer of almost 5 million euros. During the winter break, Feyenoord started to attract Zerrouki again and made an offer of eight million euros on the final day of the transfer window. This was rejected by Streuer on sporting grounds and because the td no longer had time to contract a successor. The question is therefore what kind of offer Feyenoord will make this time.
“You shouldn’t tack too quickly”, according to Ten Voorde’s opinion. “Jan Streuer and the Feyenoord management are not the best of friends. It is now April and you are not selling Zerrouki yet, because you don’t know what will come out in a month or so. But you have to sell Zerrouki. At some point At the moment you also have to deal with players who are ready at a club. Zerrouki is not throwing the hat at it, but you can see that the boy is ready for the next step.”
