Plovdiv residents called 911 due to overeating on New Year’s Eve

Busy service for emergency crews in major cities, both on New Year’s Eve and on New Year’s Day, reports bTV.

In Sofia on 31 December and 1 January there were over 1,000 telephone calls. Among these are numerous reports of domestic accidents. 150 children were also served.

In Plovdiv, they answered 77 calls, mainly for hypertensive crises due to overeating or alcohol, as well as injuries after alcohol.

In Varna there are 70 complaints, most often related to flu and high fever, and one for a victim of a female pirate.

In Burgas, most emergency patients have been diagnosed with strokes and heart attacks. There are no domestic accidents, as well as victims of pirates and pyrotechnicians.
