VIDEO: Pérez takes amazing road trip from New York to Miami

In just over two weeks, Formula 1 will arrive in Florida for the first Miami Grand Prix. That race will take place on Sunday, May 8. Reason for Red Bull to produce a slick movie.

Where in the past Max Verstappen and Daniel Ricciardo already went on a road trip through the US on behalf of Red Bull, this time it is Sergio Pérez’s turn, who seems to be on holiday in New York. He thinks he has to be in Miami that same day and decides to take the RB7. We see Pérez depart from Broadway, stock up on some food in Chinatown on the way and then drive south to the Everglades via the Manhattan Bridge. There, an encounter with an alligator and an eccentric water skier awaits.

After some donuts in downtown Miami, the race for the Miami Dolphins stadium ends. The Miami International Autodrome is currently being finalized there.

Pérez himself was very impressed with his first major video project at Red Bull. “It was great to be part of my first Red Bull road trip. I can still remember seeing Daniel’s, across the Golden Gate Bridge. I never thought I’d get the chance to be a part of something like this,” said the Mexican. “Miami is the perfect place for Formula 1. It’s a very nice city with a good energy. Austin always feels like a home race to me and I think Miami will be no different.”
