Festival in Vroesenpark causes noise nuisance

On Saturday evening, the Environmental Department DCMR received 98 complaints about the sound of Het Vrije Volk Festival in the Vroesenpark. The maximum noise level was briefly exceeded by 1 to 2 decibels, the environmental service reports.

During the festivities, inspectors from the environmental department took measurements to map the noise level. They measured this “very short-term exceedance” of the maximum noise standard.

The special Halloween edition of the Vrije Volk Festival took place in two tents where artists such as Dennis Goor, Doris Bae and Boris Ross performed. The dance party in the Vroesenpark lasted until 11 p.m.
