From October 1, gas in the PGNiG Obrót Detaliczny tariff will be 7.4 percent more expensive. – the company informed in a press release. This means from even a dozen or so zlotys more in monthly bills. This is another hike this year.
- PGNiG will again raise gas prices for retail customers – from October bills will increase by 7.4%.

Management PGNiG S.A. announced on Thursday that it had received information that the President of the Energy Regulatory Office (URE) had approved changes to the PGNiG Obrót Detaliczny tariff.
The increase in gas prices for all tariff groups will amount to 7.4 percent. Subscription fees remained unchanged. The change concerns gas consumers in households.

The change will be effective from October 1 to December 31, 2021.
ERO estimates show that for a statistical customer who uses gas only to prepare meals, the payment for gas will be higher by 3.36 percent., which means an increase of PLN 0.72 per month. For customers from the W-2.1 tariff group – consuming larger amounts of gas, e.g. for heating water – the payment will increase by 4.63%, i.e. by PLN 4.48 per month. Whereas customers who use larger amounts of gas – mainly for heating houses and apartments – will pay an average of PLN 13.76 per month more.
President of PGNiG Paweł Majewski He announced increases in early September during the XXX Economic Forum in Karpacz. – I can say with certainty that the increase in the tariff, which the President of the Energy Regulatory Office will certainly take care of, will not fully reflect the increase in gas fuel prices on exchangesbecause (…) the tariff is granted for a certain period and in this period the gas price – the average – will be flattened – explained Majewski.
– We expect that this gas will be cheaper in the second quarter of next year – added the president of PGNiG.
Recall that the President of the Energy Regulatory Office issued the previous consent to the increases in PGNiG in July. The rates increased by 12.4%. This meant higher bills for customers by up to PLN 20 per month from August. The October rate hike will be the third one this year. The prices were raised for the first time in April – by 5.6 percent.
