The pandemic has been longer than anticipated and, therefore, the enactment of the Universal Emergency Family Income is great news, allowing us today to have the largest direct transfer in the history of Chile that will benefit families of the country that have suffered the consequences of the pandemic.

If in the extended IFE of April and May the contribution received by families was up to $ 100,000 per household member, this time the amount will be $ 177,000 for a single-person household, while a household of 3 people will receive $ 400 thousand and a family of 4 will get $ 500 thousand.
With this, no family in the country will be below the poverty line. The benefit will be paid in June, July and August, plus an additional month in September, in which the beneficiaries will receive 50% of the previous month’s amount. From then on, the Executive may extend the benefits as the health situation warrants.

The New Universal IFE will be automatically received by all those who received them in May, who should not carry out any paperwork. They should only apply for this benefit in www.ingresodeemergencia.cl who have not previously received it, so the call is to register people who do not have RSH.
The application stage will be available between June 5 and 15, and the benefit will begin to be delivered from June 29. Only households belonging to the 10% with the highest income of the RSH, that is, that have average liquid income per member over $ 800,000, will not be able to access this benefit.
The Seremi de Desarrollo Social y Familia Doris Osses stated that “We are very happy for this unanimous approval of this Universal IFE, especially for the Ñuble region because there are almost 460 thousand people who have a Social Registry of Households, so Therefore, they are our potential beneficiaries of receiving this aid. This Universal IFE runs until September of this year allowing families to receive this contribution that will undoubtedly be of help to them and especially to those who are currently suffering economically due to the pandemic ”.
The estimated fiscal investment is close to US $ 3,000 million per month, totaling an estimated cost of US $ 10,342 million between June and September.
