About thirty agents gathered in front of the entrance to the Saint-Valery-sur-Somme hospital center.
A call to demonstrate was launched on January 21 by the CGT in front of the hospital Saint-Valery-sur-Somme (Somme), structure part of the Cbetween Hospitalier Intercommunal de la Baie de Somme (CHIBS). This gathered around thirty people at 2 p.m.
Inequality of the Health Segur
A fourth rally since the end of the Ségur de la Santé in July 2020, for the same demand: that the € 183 increase in salary guaranteed to all medical staff be also guaranteed to medico-social staff.
“We are not heard, nothing is moving”, annoys Christophe Geron, secretary general of the CGT in the establishment. “We end up with different salaries for people who have equivalent degrees,” he denounces.
A situation all the more unfair according to the trade unionist as the staff ignored by the result of the government consultation is led, in the current health crisis, to perform the work of their augmented colleagues.
Days of rest sacrificed
“Faced with the resurgence of agents affected by the virus, this choice is frequently made by management”, underlines Amelia Dautriche, represents the union on the Health, Safety and Working Conditions Committee, worried about the current epidemic situation in Picardy Maritime.
Added to this is “the routine for agents to be called back on their day off to replace a colleague,” according to the caregiver, which creates a strong feeling of lack of recognition.
This mobilization which took place within the framework of a national action of the union but also of SUD and Solidaires. Thus other gatherings took place in the Somme in front of the headquarters of theRegional Health Agency (ARS) at Amiens and in front ofEHPAD Georges-Dumont at Abbeville.
