Great night for Greek sports, as Mr Emmanuel Karalis he won the bronze medal in his pole vault grand final in Paris.
THE John Obiena from the Philippines, the great rival of Karalis for the podium failed to pass in three attempts the 5.95m., which secured the position of the Greek champion on the podium.
Karalis failed in his first attempt at 5.95m. and then opted to contest the 6m, but failed in both attempts, with Sam Kendricks securing the silver medal and Duplantis securing another gold.

Six medals for Greece
Emmanuel Karalis’ bronze medal was the sixth for Greece at the Paris Olympics. The harvest so far counts one silver (Apostolos Christou) and five bronze medals (Petrounias, Papakonstantinou/Gaidatzis, Fitsiu/Kotou, Tselidis, Karalis).
