In Mexico, organized crime continues to add intentional homicides in all the states of the country, from the beginning of the administration of Andrés Manuel López Obrador in December 2018 to today there are 85,661 murders, according to figures from TResearch.

On Sunday, May 30, 2021, 96 people were killed, 29 to 58 and 28 to 63. At the national level we have a 67.98% rate of intentional homicides per 100,000 inhabitants.

Crimes are registered every day, many of them are not investigated and the few that reach the Prosecutor’s Office lack solutions.

The years of the current federal government are the most violent on record.

In addition, the number of victims of sexual crimes, trafficking and malicious injuries increased.

Meanwhile Colima continues to occupy the dishonorable first place in murders with a rate of 242.96% per 100,000 inhabitants, although we must highlight that on Saturday, May 15, 2021 the rate was at 252.53%, this means that it fell 9.57%.

On the other hand, Baja California has a rate of 191.16 crimes per 100 thousand inhabitants (183.15% rate of May 15, 2021); that is, the rate rose 8.01%.

Chihuahua on May 15, 2021 had a rate of 155.38% and it skyrocketed (10.42%) as of May 31 at a rate of 165.80% deaths per 100,000 people. This state shows a great growth in intentional homicides.

Guanajuato also raised its rate (5.47%) from 153.80 crimes to 159.27% of deaths per 100,000 inhabitants.

Zacatecas has a murder rate of 147.27% per 100,000 residents (143.64% increased 3.63%).

Sonora increased its death rate to 126.80% per 100,000 citizens (May 15, 117.80%)

The state of Morelos has a crime rate of 124.47% per 100,000 people.

Michoacán slightly raised its rate from 117.50% deaths to 119.82% homicides per 100,000 inhabitants.

Another state that lowered its crime rate from 126.02% to 118.28% crimes per 100,000 residents was Guerrero (-7.74%).

Quintana Roo remains in tenth place with a rate of 95.32 deaths per 100,000 citizens.

Undoubtedly, the elections of June 6, 2021 have had to do with the growth of intentional homicides in some states of the country, a clear sign that despite the arrival of Andrés Manuel López Obrador as president of the republic, criminal organizations continue operating.

The strategy of “hugs and not bullets” and the phrase “from day one of my government crime will end are simple words that the wind carried away and thousands of families with their loved ones have paid for it.
