On an industrial estate in Numansdorp, a very large fire is raging in a multi-company building. The fire spread to an underlying building around 2 a.m. A lot of smoke has been released. At 3:20 am the fire was under control.
The South Holland South safety region reports that many firefighters and fire trucks are present. Aerial platforms have also been built to fight the fire from above. How the fire started is still unclear.
In order to collect enough water to extinguish the fire, the Rijksstraatweg in Numansdorp has been temporarily closed.
