Lando ‍Norris delivered a commanding‌ performance at the Brazilian Grand⁣ Prix, securing victory ⁣after a weekend of consistent excellence that ⁤included a Sprint win, pole position, and now a decisive Grand Prix⁢ triumph. The win extends his championship lead over⁢ teammate Oscar Piastri,‍ increasing his ‌advantage from one point⁤ to ⁤24.norris attributed his success to focused driving, stating he ⁤simply “pushed and didn’t even⁢ think.”

Behind Norris, ⁤a remarkable drive from Oliver ⁣Bearman secured second place, resisting intense pressure from Max Verstappen who started the race from the ‍pit lane. Bearman’s podium finish marks ‌a significant achievement ⁣for the young driver on⁢ loan to ‍Haas.

The ‌race⁤ was marred by incidents and ⁤retirements for Ferrari, resulting in a damaging double points loss in the Constructors’ Championship. A chaotic‍ restart following‌ a Safety Car period – deployed after a first-lap crash involving Brazilian driver Enzo Fittipaldi – ‍triggered a collision. ⁣Piastri attempted a late braking‍ maneuver on ‍Antonelli, making contact with Kimi Räikkönen and ⁢afterward Charles ⁢Leclerc,‍ earning a 10-second penalty and finishing fifth. Leclerc was forced to retire after sustaining damage, ending⁣ his race prematurely.

Lewis Hamilton also ‍endured a tough race. Starting 13th after ‍a ⁤disappointing qualifying, he became‍ embroiled in on-track battles, making contact‌ with Carlos Sainz and later colliding with Williams’ Logan Sargeant. A 5-second penalty was applied, and despite attempts to repair front ‌wing damage, the Mercedes⁣ driver ultimately ‌retired, requesting ⁣a white flag on‍ multiple occasions.

Despite the setbacks for Ferrari and Mercedes, the race highlighted the impressive performance of Antonelli, who ⁢demonstrated maturity and tire management skills to ⁣hold off Verstappen’s late charge. The young Italian driver, a known admirer of Ayrton Senna, delivered a performance that⁣ paid tribute to his idol.
