The Fatal Fall
During a family excursion, a 43-year-old man went into a mountain river near the Kupinovsky Monastery. He decided to cool off, climbing onto a rock near a waterfall. The man then fell into the water, hitting his head. The impact likely stunned him, and he failed to resurface.

Aftermath
Divers retrieved the man’s body around 6 p.m. The body was transported to Veliko Turnovo hospital for an autopsy. The District Prosecutor’s Office of Veliko Turnovo is currently investigating the incident.
