Spotify Users: Update Your App for 2025’s Wrapped Reveal
Spotify is reminding users to ensure their app is updated as the highly anticipated Wrapped feature for 2025 approaches. The annual feature, which provides personalized data on users’ listening habits throughout the year, is expected to launch soon, offering insights into top artists, songs, genres, and listening minutes.
Spotify Wrapped has become a cultural phenomenon since its introduction, prompting users to share their unique musical journeys on social media. The streaming service begins tracking data from January 1st and continues collecting information “up until a few weeks before we launch the Wrapped product,” according to Molly Holder, Spotify’s senior director of product for personalization, in a 2024 interview with Mashable.
Despite social media claims suggesting data collection ends on Halloween, Spotify continues tracking listening habits past October 31st. The exact cutoff date remains undisclosed each year.
To access your 2025 Wrapped results, Spotify advises users to verify thay have the latest version of the app installed.The feature will be available directly within the Spotify submission.
Spotify also offers a “music evolution” feature, separating listening habits into distinct phases, providing a more nuanced look at user preferences.
