Trump Sends Nuclear Subs Near Russia After Medvedev Threat

Trump Claims Submarines Moved Closer to Russia Amidst Medvedev Warnings

Former U.S. President Donald trump stated that submarines were dispatched to a specific area to ensure that certain statements “really remain only words,” indicating their proximity to Russia. This assertion followed a warning from former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, who, in a Telegram post, cautioned Trump against forgetting Russia’s “Walking dead” and referenced the Soviet Union’s final automatic nuclear strike system.

Trump reiterated his stance that the ongoing conflict is a result of President Joe Biden’s policies, asserting that the war would not have occurred during his presidency, citing his prior “conversations with Putin.” He also mentioned that the United States had set an August 8 deadline for Moscow to agree to a ceasefire, with the potential for new sanctions if this was not met.

Commenting on Russia’s ability to circumvent economic penalties, Trump remarked, “Putin cleverly avoids sanctions.” When questioned about any shift in his perception of Russian president Vladimir Putin, Trump described him as a “hard walnut” and stated his opinion had not changed. He recalled having “great conversations” with Putin, which he believed were leading to resolutions, noting that on three occasions, he thought agreements had been reached, only to observe subsequent attacks on cities like Kyiv and civilian casualties.
