Daejeon City Recognizes Top Businesses with 2025 Sales awards
Daejeon, South Korea – November 3rd, 2023 – Daejeon City held its ‘2025 Sales Tower and Promising Small and Medium Business/Exemplary Prestigious Company Awards Ceremony’ at the Daejeon Convention Center today, recognizing local businesses for thier contributions to the city’s economic growth.
The event honored companies across three categories: Top of sales, Promising Small and Medium Businesses, and Exemplary Prestigious Companies – a new category launched this year.
The “Top of Sales” award,initiated to acknowledge companies exceeding 10 billion won in sales the previous year,recognized 18 businesses in 2023. Awardees included Soft Itech (90 billion won), Scholarship Stationery (40 billion won), Jeongjin Industrial Growth/Fiber Pro (30 billion won), and Nexwill, Desikan, D&C Company, Cereco, Chungmu Towel, Contact, Forness (20 billion won each), along with Ligas, Cell Icon Lab, Small Lab, Shin Corporation, SG Energy, E-Solution, and Quraum (10 billion won each). Sence its inception in 2007, a total of 336 companies have received this award.
Additionally, 27 companies were selected as “Promising Small and Medium Businesses,” chosen based on their growth potential and technological capabilities. These included Nano high Tech, Dr. Haskin, D&C Company, Lumax Aerospace, Multix, Barobio, Vitals, Cereco, Smart Korea, Sisun Soft, Sim’s Reality, IBS, ITU, Edmotech, FCI, L2K Plus, Elfusion Optics, Withtech, Yunseul, Eser, ENcore, GI Automation, GF Technology, GNSoft, Koision, Piretta, and Heura. This programme, running as 1998, has now recognized a total of 859 companies.
For the frist time, Daejeon City also presented the “Exemplary Prestigious Company” award to seven businesses that have been operating for over 20 years, maintain a regular workforce of at least 20 employees, and achieve annual sales exceeding 5 billion won. The recipients were Kyungwon Aluminum, Nexwill, Rigas, V&C Tech, FA Plus, KNTech, and KLS.
Companies receiving these awards will benefit from preferential support, including a 1% point reduction in interest rates on loans from the ‘small and Medium Business Management stability fund’ and ‘Startup and competitiveness Enhancement Fund.’ They will also receive priority consideration for participation in domestic and overseas exhibitions, inclusion in large-scale company visit programs, and designation as one of Daejeon’s 100 key companies, solidifying the city’s position as a science hub.
“We are grateful for the efforts of companies that have contributed to economic growth, including increased sales, despite recent arduous economic conditions at home and abroad,” stated Choi Seong-ah, Deputy Mayor of Daejeon City for political Affairs, Economics and Science. “We will not spare any support to help our companies prosper further in the future.”
