Naver is significantly advancing its “spatial intelligence” capabilities through a diverse range of robotic technologies, including autonomous driving service robots and advanced industrial robots. The company’s portfolio features robots like “SERO” and “Garo,” designed for transporting heavy servers within Sejong, and the drawing robot “Arto-1.” Naver also utilizes its Robot-only Management System (OS) called “Arc Mind” and has developed the M·T and R·P series of mapping devices.
In February, Morgan Stanley recognized Naver’s innovative approach by classifying it as a “Humanoid Company” alongside tech giants like Tesla, Apple, and Tencent in its Humanoid 100 report. Further demonstrating its commitment to autonomous mobility, Naver is reportedly in discussions to supply its autonomous driving robots to New Muraba, a new advancement in Saudi Arabia. The company plans to unveil upgraded robot technology, including an enhanced version of its “rookie” robot, in the latter half of the current year, underscoring its ongoing investment in robot development as a core component of its spatial intelligence strategy.
Industry insiders highlight that Naver’s secured patents are closely aligned with the concept of spatial intelligence, which is considered a more advanced form of artificial intelligence than current physical AI applications. This strategic focus positions Naver at the forefront of developing complex robotic solutions that interact intelligently with their environments.
